Kipepeo Shawlette

Kipepeo, a funny name, isn’t it ?

It's the swahili name for Butterfly and I just choose it as the lace stitch pattern remember me all butterflies flying around my lavender.

For this shawlette, I wanted to try lace with bigger yarn,

so I have picked up a sweet Alpaca-wool yarn (Inka Color by Austerman, unfortunately discontinued) and have worked it with needle 5.5 and 6.5 mm.

It is worked from the top-down and finished with a lace border

Length : 35 cm / 14 inches
These measurements are taken after blocking.

This shawlette is knitted with about 300 m of aran yarn.
