A nice special zig-zag pattern for self-striping yarn

 

 

Finished size

To fit a M (L) 38-39 (40-41) European - US size foot 8 ½ -9 (9 ½ - 10)

Foot circumference 20 (24) cm / 8 (9 ½) inch unstretched

Leg length 16.5 cm / 6.5 inch

 

 

These socks are knitted cuff-down, with a heel flap and gusset.

To fit head circumference
49 (56) cm / 19 (22) inches – S / M (M / L)
Finished size circumference 44 (51) cm / 17 ¼ (20) inches

The beret is worked in the round from the crown down, with a very stretchy stitch pattern definition. This beret needs to be blocked to show well the stitches, especially for the star at center crown. I have worked it with 2 colors, but it can easily be worked with only one color.

Construction
The beret is worked in the round from the crown down, with a very stretchy stitch pattern definition. This beret need to be blocked to show well the stitches. It uses a fine yarn which is knitted with larger needle than recommended.

The pattern is charted with complete written instructions for all sizes.

Leg length 14 cm / 5.5 inch

 

These socks are knitted cuff-down, with a heel flap and gusset.

The cables running along are completed with a seed stitch to give more elasticity to the sock.

The pattern is charted with complete written instructions for all sizes.

Color Wheel Socks : new free sock knitting pattern

Just released in my Ravelry Store  a new free Sock pattern:

 Color Wheel Socks :

These socks are perfect to use Sock yarn left-over. For the Small size I have used less than 1 skein for the main color and about 3 m for each color band.

The color ripples are worked using slipping stitches in a Mosaic pattern, so only one color is worked for each round. A fun and easy pattern to knit.

Finished size

To fit a S – M - L Size

Foot circumference 20 – 21 - 22.5 cm / 8 - 8.5 - 9 inch unstretched

Leg length 16.5 cm / 6.5 inch

Yarn

Fingering weight (200 m - (218 y) / 50 g skein)

Main Color 1 skein, CC about 0.75 g (3m) for each of 12 colors.
